Owner of Jubilation Farms
Mission
At Heritage Academy at Jubilation Farms, we believe that learning should be an adventure and an experience. Our students participate in engaging, farm-centric enrichment programs that provide hands-on learning experiences in a variety of academic subjects. Our mission is to foster creativity, inspire critical thinking and build a lifelong love of learning in our students.
Our
Values
Get to Know Our Values
Heritage Academy at Jubilation Farms is founded on Christian truths and values. While we are not a Christian program, we are also not a Secular program. We do not require a statement of faith but use the Nicene Creed as a meeting ground. There are no religion classes, theology classes, or specific faith teachings. We feel that it is the responsibility of each parent to instill their faith and beliefs in their children as they see fit. However, we will begin our day with prayer, pray before lunch, and celebrate Christian holidays.

At the end of the day, if the values and ideals of the Christian faith do not resonate with your value system, then Heritage Academy will not be a good fit for your family. We would be happy to help suggest other local programs that would better suit your needs.
"Give your child a single valuable idea, and you have done more for his education than if you had laid upon his mind the burden of bushels of information."

About Sarah
Sarah Nuss has been involved in education for over 20 years. She holds a B.A. in Elementary Education from the University of Alabama in Huntsville. She taught at Randolph School and served on the committee for strategic school planning.

Mrs. Nuss has extensive experience in teaching all ages and abilities of children, serving as a teacher, tutor, and mentor in various capacities. She has taught in churches, private schools and learning centers, homeschool coops, and most recently, opened Farm School classes for children ages 5 and up on her farm. She has been homeschooling her own children for 11 years.
Mrs. Nuss owns Jubilation Farms and is responsible for the day-to-day operation, as well as the planning, implementing, and running of all farm programs. Since opening the farm for educational classes and tours in April 2023, Sarah’s Farm School has sold-out and filled with waitlists.
Prior to Jubilation Farms, Mrs. Nuss taught private art lessons to children and adults, sold her art, and had a home décor business through University Pickers.
"Whatever an education is, it should make you a unique individual, not a conformist; it should furnish you with an original spirit with which to tackle the big challenges. It should allow you to find values which will be your road map through life; it should make you spiritually rich, a person who loves whatever you are doing, wherever you are, whomever you are with; it should teach you what is important, how to live and how to die."
