Admissions Philosophy
We approach admissions as a process of mutual discernment, not urgency.

Our goal is not to convince families to enroll, but ensure that Heritage Academy is a healthy, sustainable fit for both the child and the community.
Our Admissions Process
1. Explore and Reflect
-
Read our website carefully to know our mission and values
-
Read Our Learning Model and Who We Serve to make sure Heritage Academy is the right fit for your family
2. Initial Conversation
-
Schedule a required Family Farm Tour and Info Session with us to ask more questions
-
Farm Tours require a $25 non-refundable deposit to book your spot
-
No-shows will be required to resubmit an additional $25 deposit to book another farm tour
-
-
During the Info Session we will discuss your child's strengths, needs, and history to determine fit
3. Decision and Enrollment
-
Families are invited to enroll if alignment is clear
-
Enrollment is finalized with signed enrollment forms, a signed agreement to expectations form, and payment of Enrollment Fee
-
Your child's spot will not be held until all items are completed and signed, and we have received your Enrollment Fee.
-
-
The Enrollment Fee is $250 per family and is non-refundable. It covers the cost of paperwork, insurance, and liability

Readiness and Fit Reflection
Is Our Program a Good Fit Right Now?
-
Is my child able to participate in group learning with guidance, but without constant 1:1 support?
-
Is my child able to engage safely and respectfully with animals and outdoor work?
-
Are we prepared to support learning at home through math facts practice, reading, conversation, and completing our own language arts and math curriculum?
-
Are we seeking partnership—or hoping the school will carry everything?
-
Are we open to a slower, mastery-based pace if foundations are missing?

Tuition and Fees
Tuition at Heritage Academy reflects the intentional design, small size, and relational nature of our program. We are not a traditional private school, and we are not a child-care solution.
Instead, we offer a carefully structured, mastery-based homeschool partnership that prioritizes foundational skills, meaningful work, and the long-term well-being of children.
Families who choose Heritage Academy are investing in:
-
Small group instruction where children are known, not managed
-
Experienced, attentive teachers who guide learning with care and clarity
-
A program built around mastery rather than pace or coverage
-
Project-based learning connected to real life and meaningful contribution
-
A farm-based environment that supports responsibility, regulation, and confidence
-
Clear communication and honest partnership with families
Because of our size and scope, tuition also supports:
-
Fair compensation for teachers
-
The care and upkeep of our farm and animals
-
Materials, supplies, and project resources
A sustainable program that protects students, staff, and the learning environment
Heritage Academy is designed to complement—not replace—homeschooling.

We believe that quality education is relational, intentional, and human-scaled, and that these things require thoughtful investment. Our goal is to steward that investment with integrity, clarity, and care.

Families who find the greatest value in Heritage Academy are those who share our commitment to partnership, clarity, and meaningful learning.

Please note that tuition is non-refundable.

Final Words on Admissions
Enrollment at Heritage Academy is based on ongoing mutual fit. As children grow and needs change, we may revisit placement, expectations, or recommendations to ensure the health of the child and the community.

We encourage families to take time with this decision. Heritage Academy is most successful when families feel confident—not rushed—about their choice.
